The world leader in science products and solutions, Thermo Fisher Scientific opened its new headquarters in Sao Paulo in August. With their team formerly distributed in five different office addresses in the capital city of Sao Paulo, the company brought together its workforce in one and a half floors of an office building located at Rua Eugênia de Medeiros, 303, in the Pinheiros district. Our Transactions team advised Thermo Fisher in choosing the new location, whose fit-out was coordinated by our Project Management and Development team.

In addition to consolidating its offices at a same location, Thermo Fisher now has also a Customer Experience Center (CEC), a space designed for training programs, model labs, equipment demonstration, and application support to a range of customers, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, research, government, food safety, environmental monitoring, oil and gas companies, among others.

From property prospecting to closing the deal, our Transactions team endeavored to meet the special requirements of the company, which was seeking a new location with plenty of public transportation available.

The building is largely leased and occupied by a renowned insurance company. We used diversified strategies to make subleasing feasible in terms of cost and functionality, as this property met the [client’s] space and location requirements,” says Global Clients/Transactions manager Marco Lacayo.

Building out the leased space to suit Thermo Fisher’s needs involved meeting some important challenges. One of them was to develop a functional, high quality, modern and beautiful architectural design within the available budget.

For the Customer Experience Center, which uses special gases, including a flammable gas, we’ve hired specialist advisors to ensure the quality and safety of the facilities and the safe storage of these materials,” says [project manager] Gabriela Aguiar Pizarro, Project Management and Development.
